So, back in '91, Michael Sembello hit me up asking, "What's the word for a female deity in Bahasa?" I told him, "Dewi." Fast forward, he wanted to jam with me and Sunnie Paxson to create a track about Indonesia called "Dewi." It took until 2014 for Andy to finally produce it with Jesse Lantang. It's a heartfelt journey of a kid who left Indonesia in the late '70s, pouring his love for Dewi, a.k.a. Indonesia, into this song.
